The Institute of Economics at the University of Stuttgart is looking for a Research Assistant/ Lab Assistant (m/f/d)  [22.04.24]

To support different research projects and the work of the new Lab for Political Economy of Global Development, the University of Stuttgart is looking for a research assistant (40 hours per month, initially limited to six months with the possibility of extension).

The successful candidate will support research in empirical development economics. The research investigates questions relevant to economic policy using modern quantitative methods, experiments and theories with cross-cutting issues such as redistribution, decision-making by individuals or policy makers and all aspects of economic development. The University of Stuttgart is looking for research assistants with knowledge of working with large geodata sets.
The tasks can be done remotely by students based at any German university; students from Baden-Württemberg are preferred to allow occasional face-to-face meetings.

The start date is negotiable (June 1, 2024 would be ideal). Fluency in English is required; German language skills are not necessary.
